We always love the first tulip that flowers at Upton, as it means a great display is on its way!

The first tulips to flower this year

The gardeners work hard during November to plant the tulip bulbs, making sure they are planting in neat lines. Our Head Gardener, Heather Aston, always plans the most fantastic displays.

Tulip fortnight at Upton is for two weeks from Monday 13th April. However, tulips flower throughout April and into May.

If you come and visit, you can pick up a tulip map from our visitor reception. The map has a plan of the garden so you can see which type of tulip is flowering as you wander round.

We have a selection of tulips for sale in our plant centre. Why not buy some to take home for you own garden?

Here are some photos of last year’s vibrant display:

We would love you to share photos of our tulips on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram when you come to visit. If not, we will be sure to be posting photos if you can’t make a visit to us!
