If you visit over the next few weeks the front of our house might look slightly different! We have decided it is time to give the paintwork a bit of a face lift. With over 40 windows on the front of the house, this is no small project, and all whilst being open to visitors!

The scaffolding has been assembled this week over the main front of the house. After these windows have been decorated, it will be moved to the wings. If all goes smoothly (and there isn’t too much rain) it should last about 6 weeks, and in the mean time we will be talking to visitors outside the front of the house about the work.

It’s great to have the resources to still care for our Mansion today, really taking us to the core of the National Trust, caring for places for ever for everyone. We can’t wait to see the results of our facelift!
