The Mirror Pool in June 2013

So what did we do? The pool was netted and the fish were caught, we installed two pumps to empty the pool, and it took a lot of man hours to prepare for the work! Getting the pumps down our heavily terraced gardens, preparing the pool, whilst still opening to the public at weekends wasn’t easy!  After removing the water we found the cracks and the contractors plugged the holes with over a 1.5 Tons of concrete per crack.  Now our reflections are looking wonderful again. Our Head Gardener, Heather, even managed to catch some blue sky! We are looking forward to getting the fish back in the pool again.

Make sure you come and visit and bring a camera! We would love to see your photos @UptonHouseNT on twitter and Instagram, Upton House and Gardens NT on Facebook.
